The Lake County Fair Plein Air Competition beckons skilled artists who relish the opportunity to immerse themselves in capturing the lively happenings of our fair through their artwork. The resulting pieces vividly encapsulate the essence of the moment experienced in the great outdoors. Few mediums rival the ability of a painting to truly convey the spirit of a location or occasion!

MARCH 30, 2024-Registration Deadline

Must Register by 5:00pm

APRIL 6, 2024

Plein Air Competition Day

9am – 10 am:Check-In at the Art Barn

10am – 7 pm: Painting time period in ticketed area of the Fair

APRIL 8, 2024

Winners will be announced

APRIL 8-14, 2024

Artwork will be displayed and for sale in the Creative Living Building at the Lake County Fair
